PostSubject: Let's prove that prayer works   Sat Feb 21, 2009 6:16 pm

there is ancient Hebrew scripture as well as ancient Greek texts that say clearly say that "one" can put a hundred to flight, and two "ten thousand to flight???? Take that formula and ask for prayer and watch miracles happen.

I have a service for you if you are so inclined. Write to me about a prayer request for your loved ones and I will agree with you for their healing.

This is an open thread for prayer. Stand back and watch the power of God do his thing.

That's an interesting choice of words if you think about it.....I would have thought it was:
"I will pray for you for their healing".....

By all means if you can provide a miracle go......I would be delighted. I'm only too happy to see peoples prayers answered for real. But this is only a means to help others. It won't go beyond eliminating peoples suffering and serving other people. Just remember that I won't be tricked from any sleight of hand.

Lets see what you can do.......What faith you have.......

Quote :
Ask for prayer

Only if your faith is greater than mine will I ask you. I think you have no-where near the faith required for a miracle......

Hello winehippie, I will agree with you for your sister and niece.

The power of prayer as I understand it is not any one persons faith over another but the power of two in agreement, any two.

The thought and well wishes for others is what this is all about.

This post about prayer is all about agreement and intention.

What do you mean you agree with her for it to work though.....I don't get how that is relevant to it.

If you have faith in god you can just heal with faith alone. Jesus didn't need agreement with Lazarus. Lazarus was dead wasn't he? So how could he get agreement between Lazarus. He just said come out Lazarus.......

So how did he do that?

I think it's great to attempt it.....in fact I've seen peoples prayers work a couple of times on the forum and with me personally I've felt some effects of other people positive thoughts....

But this miracle healing in this way takes a lot of faith.....I don't have that faith and I'm not sure you do.....But a thread like this is a good start to build it up....

I'd like to be wrong.....and that you can heal everyone. But I don't think that is where you are at, at this time. I've tried very hard to build my faith up......and if I can't do these things yet. I very much doubt you are that much more devoted to love than I am.....as arrogant as that sounds. I just don't feel love radiating from you to that degree where I feel like I should be listening to you....Because that's how I measure it....

i have been praying for a couple of years now...
it may have helped, i do not know, because this sister
is estranged and i have not heard from her in more
than a year... i am concerned for my sister, although she
is an adult and has made her choices and must live
them out. The child, however, is my main concern.
I believe she is/has been in danger... so now what do we do?
and what if my sister "does not agree"?

Wine Hippie
this was my response on Lindas thread in what can we do..
i think it fits here also

the phrase whenever two or more are gathered..has great meaning to me..we are so powerful alone
but when combining our energy i think it is squared in multiples
i will add your sister and neice to my send list if you would supply a first name of each..
hugs

Hi Linda

i think it a great idea..

when i first got on line i met a group of folks and thur a few message boards/ forums
we got to be a kind of healing group and the last reincarnation is a prayer room
on another site where you just drop in and tell who you would like prayers or energy sent to
and then whoever wants to can check in and send whatever feels right for them

there was a lot of discussion pro and con of interferring with someone's life without
permission and that finally got settled by stating
(for those who felt they were interfering where they shouldn't )
when you send that it was for that persons
highest good in whatever form worked for them at this time of now or any future now..

i do think a name is helpful but that is just me..we are evolving so fast maybe just the
desire to help those spoken of

ty, otter, prayer is the only venue remaining, because
i tried everything else

my sister's name is Tracie Faith
and her daughter's name is Lucia (light!)

whether that little girl is with her mother, or has been
sold, or is kidnapped within the Child Protective Services
(what a joke) system, i just do not know, since i am
an aunt and have no "rights"

Wine Hippie

please don't think i am preaching..i am not
but i think you are holding to tightly to the negative..

whatever the circumstances...change the way you are picturing them
change the program by thinking that she is with loving people
you may have no rights as an aunt
but as a fellow human you are powerful beyond words

prayer is not the only way..just one way
they are both on my list now..

I thought Sky's suggestion of using a name was a good idea because there was no harm in that.
And I will tell you that both the people I asked for prayers for...... actually did get better.

I will pray for your niece and sisters...and you.....

i do not think you are preaching, otter... i really appreciate
the little nudge as a reminder... somehow, i have been
able to do a good job of releasing fear and negativity around
MYSELF

it is when thinking about the innocents that i become concerned

yes, i will start to visualize Lucy as a happy child in
wholesome circumstances - and i will try to stop being
afraid for her

ya did good, otter, thanks again

Hi sky otter ,winehippie and Linda

That is the intention of this thread just so people can agree together. I am glad you are all participating, this can do nothing but help.

It is too bad to be estranged from any of our loved ones, although I do know the feeling winehippie personally.

People get prayers answered all the time as you guys all know, and as you also know there is no secret silver bullet for prayers and intention manifested. No one can say why some prayers get answered and some do not, but this thread is simply to agree with others and all we can do is keep our expectation high as we would normally do.

Thanks to you all for your good intentions.

That's where I think you miss something about all this. The reason why wishes come true is not something random but a power from within the self that can be cultivated and developed. There is definitely reasons behind why some things work, and other things not. And those things are something you can master.

It's ok you can talk to me if you want I'm not going to hold it against you or say "I told you so" or anything dumb like that.

Gabe, I agree.
With all of us participating, this can do nothing but help. I also love Sky's suggestion of visualizing a loving, safe enivornment for Lucy.

WineHippie, we are praying and sending loving, protection thoughts for Lucy, your sister and YOU. group-hug
